Blister on foot

Last night I played basketball for 2.5 hours in some shoes that are designed more for hiking than for basketball.  As soon as we finished I could tell I was going to have a blister on my right foot.  The tissue was inflamed and loose like it gets as a blister starts to form.  The left foot was very sore too.  When I got home I mixed up some clay, put two big gobs of the clay on two pieces of plastic wrap, set my foot on each gob and then wrapped the plastic wrap around my feet.  The relief from pain was near instant with the coolness of the clay.  I could tell the heat in my feet was dissipating.  I left the clay on for about 30 minutes, cleaned it off and went to bed.  This morning, no blisters, no pain.  B.F., UT
